I bring passion, expertise, and commitment to helping women, children, and parents in the communities of Oakland and Los Gatos, CA. Somatic Therapist-Play Therapist- Family Therapist.
A little about me..
· Bilingual & Culturally Diverse: I grew up in LIma, Peru, speaking Spanish and loving my Peruvian food. My partner is from India, so I get cultural diversity and the immigrant experience with all its joys and challenges.
· Family Dynamics: Coming from a large, close-knit, and wonderfully dysfunctional family has given me a love and skill for family therapy. It’s a work in progress, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
· Entrepreneurial Spirit: My father was a type A, self-made man with a huge entrepreneurial drive. I grew up in a family business, surrounded by business talk all day long.
· Dance Enthusiast: Before somatic psychology, my first passion was dance. At one point, I considered pursuing a Master's in Dance Therapy.
· Meditation and Exercise: My first forms of therapy! I mastered meditation and regular exercise to deal with young adult angst and existential crises.
· Dog Lover: I live with my life partner and our adorable terrier-chihuahua mix rescue dog.
· Proud Feminist: I've been one for as long as I can remember. Even before I understood concepts, I knew that standing by other women in sisterhood and solidarity was essential.
How I Engage as your therapist:
· I remember your story and enough details for you to feel cared for and seen.
· I believe my job is to help you become an expert on how you process and digest your emotions.
· I share relevant information to help you understand how your body and mind are connected.
· I care about all aspects of your life and will help you embrace all of your personhood, quirks, and uniqueness.
The experience I can offer you
I've been helping children, parents, and especially women for almost 20 years. I first dove into working with moms while supervising a parenting hotline. Then, I supported kids' social-emotional development using an attachment-based approach.

These experiences taught me the concerns of moms who juggle a lot and love their kids deeply. I realized how important it is to support both children and parents on their mental health journeys.

My specialty is helping children who worry like little adults and women who were once those little caregivers—handling workaholism, imposter syndrome, feelings of emptiness, and chronic health issues. I focus on supporting women and sensitive, anxious kids in achieving emotional wellness.
